so while trying to figure out what to write for this assinment a friend of my mine who just came to the u.s. for the first time asked me if i could take him to get some pictures printed. so we got in the car and went to the medford walmart. my friend from the uk has never been inside a walmart before, i grew up always going to walmart for everything so to be in one was not a big deal to me, but while there with my friend i kind of got a new view of it. we walked through almost every aisle just looking at stuff, we werent looking for anything just looking at things. hewas fasinated by the alot of the stuff and how it was different from the stuff they have in the uk. then we talked about how horrible the consumerism in america is conpared to the uk and it really made me think, if i avoided walmart all together i would save a lot of money...

someone i admire
one of my favorite artisits of all time is roy lichtenstein. his style is interesting and i find it tasteful and classic. i could imagine his work hanging in an art gallary or just on someones wall as a print and it would look good either way. i also love the fact that he sometime includes just one line of dialog in some of his pieces, it leaves a certain cliffhanger effect that makes you really think about the piece trying to figure out what story that one line and picture would fit into.
someone new
recently i was playing around on stumble and came across an artist by the name of marko djurdjevic and he blew my mind. http://designfeedr.com/over-40-mind-blowing-cover-illustrations-by-marko-djurdjevic this is the website i originally saw his work. i love his seamless drawings, they are beautifully done.
